We’re happy to announce the program for the Irish Ball Vienna 2019. We have a great evening of entertainment in store for March 9 at the Intercontinental Hotel.
Sekt & Smoked Salmon Reception sponsored by Ambassador Kevin Dowling, Permanent Mission of Ireland to OSCE, and Paddysco. At this point attendees are also warmly welcomed to view and place pre-auction bids for our fantastic auction items!
Official Opening of the 19th Irish Charity Ball. Ambassador Tom Hanney’s welcoming speech will be followed by a musical performance from opera singers Thomas Birch and Anne Marie Sheridan, with music from Benjamin Grobman. The Intercontinental Hotel will then commence the evening’s three course meal. The bar will also open officially at this point, with red and white wine being served throughout the meal.
Attendees are encouraged to final bid for our fantastic auction items in the first part of our wonderful charity auction, led by auctioneer for the evening, Simon Deignan. Prizes include trips to County Clare, Dublin City, Sabine Bonn jewellery and an Andrew Sheridan night photograph.
Main course of our delicious menu provided by the Intercontinental Hotel will be served. Attendees are encouraged to partake in our charity raffle, with a host of wonderful prizes on offer. All proceeds will go towards Multiple Sclerosis Ireland and Österreichische Multiple Sklerose Gesellschaft.
Our annual charity auction resumes, as our auctioneer Simon Deignan encourages you to bid for our huge auction prizes, ranging from trips to the North West of Ireland to a weekend in Vienna, with some signed historic GAA jerseys and paintings from local artists also included.
An energetic, traditional ceilidh led by Irish Fire!
Our quick raffle in aid of our chosen charities.
‘The Elastic Band’ will provide musical entertainment for the evening.
Dj Dominik Nostitz will play out the night for those you left on the dance floor!
Drinks on the night have been kindly sponsored by Carlow Brewing Company. Paddysco staff will be on hand to serve O’Haras Irish Stout and Irish Ale, as well as Hyde Irish Whiskey and Coole Swan Irish Creme Liqueur.
As we know sekt may not be the drink of choice for all guests, the bar will be open for a limited time during the reception. If you would prefer a stout or an ale, you will be able to order from the bar between 7.00 pm and 7.30 pm.
In order to ensure smooth progression throughout the program, we will be imposing a strict closing time on the bar before the official opening. We would like to thank all guests in advance for their co-operation in this matter!
We’re looking forward to hosting you all on March 9th at the Intercontinental Hotel! Please share this message with your other guests and encourage them to join the mailing list!
